Description
The Non-invasive Prenatal Test is performed non-invasively, so, it is completely safe for the mother and the baby. The sample is obtained from a normal blood test, which has allowed the replacement of amniocentesis.
This test allows parents to know if the baby has a good state of health and if it has chromosomal abnormalities.
What does it detect?
It can be done from the 10th week of gestation. This test can be performed by women who have an interest in knowing the status of the baby. It is also advised in those pregnancies that give abnormal results of triple screening of the first trimester, have ultrasound abnormalities or women who have had previous pregnancies with Down Syndrome.
