Refractive defects

Refractive surgery allows correcting these refractive defects of the eye:

Myopia. Myopia patients have trouble seeing from afar. In these cases, the cornea or lens is very powerful and the eye longer than usual, so the image is formed in front of the retina and does not provide a clear vision.
Farsightedness. In the case of farsightedness it prevents seeing nearby objects well. Unlike myopia, images are formed behind the retina because the cornea is very flat.
Astigmatism. When the cornea is irregular, the light of the objects is focused on different points of the retina. That is why it generates a blurred vision and, in addition, objects are seen deformed.
