How is an ultrasound performed?
This diagnostic test is non-invasive, as it does not require injections or needles, and does not carry any risk to the health of the patients since there is no exposure to radiation. It is based on imaging using sound waves or ultrasound and offers additional information to that of other diagnostic tests.

Digital ultrasound allows images to be obtained in real time to check the structure and blood flow of the breasts.
