Description
An anal fissure treatment is common in children, although it affects people of all ages. It is a wound on the edge of the anus caused by a period of constipation, usually, although it can also appear due to diarrheal defecation. The wound causes contraction of the internal sphincter, which causes pain and prevents healing of the fissure.
In the Dr Padrón Proctological Institute, anal fissure treatment is a surgical treatment that is performed on an outpatient basis, with local anaesthesia. The intervention is followed by one or several revisions.
